We will be baking and selling Paska Bread for this Easter. Plain and with Raisin will both be $8.00 each. Pick up will be on Wednesday March 28^th from 5:30pm-7:30pm at Infant Jesus. Order forms are on the vestibule table. Deadline to order is March 23.

We are also asking for volunteers and /or donations to help make the bread on Monday March 26^th and Tuesday March 27^th. Sign-up sheet is also on the vestibule table.

FEED OUR VALLEY:

GCU 442 and the Byzantine Social Club are sponsoring “Feed Our Valley” to help the Second Harvest Food Bank. Most needed food items are cereal, peanut butter, canned vegetables, canned fruit, tuna fish, dry pasta, canned soup and macaroni and cheese.  We will be collecting food from March 4th-April 15^th. Place donated food in the yellow bin in the church vestibule.

 

EASTER CANDY DAY:

GCU 442 will be giving Easter Candy to all children 14 and under on March 25, 2018. A sign-up sheet is on the vestibule table. All children are welcome to participate.

 

ALTAR & ROSARY SOCIETY:

All Parishioners are invited to join this wonderful association. Members pray the rosary the first Sunday of each month at 8:30 am. Dues are $5.00/year and you can enclose your dues in the envelope that is on the table in the vestibule and deposit it in the collection basket. You may also remit your dues to Mary Beth Hayer, 1063 Runge Ave., Struthers, OH 44471. Contact Elain Chachko for more information.

GCU JUNIOR BOWLING TOURNAMENT:

Reminder: the GCU bowling tournament is this weekend at Camelot Lanes in Boardman. Check-in is at 12 noon for all children who signed up.

 

BYZANTINE SOCIAL CLUB:

Communion Brunch for social club members will be on Sunday, March 18 for those who are planning to attend at Eat N Park Restaurant on Market Street, Boardman at 11:30 am. Hope to see all members there.

“Lock-In Retreat” for teenagers and young adults on Saturday, March 3 at 1:00 pm to Sunday,

The Sixth Annual Women’s Retreat “Good Thoughts & Internal Peace” will be held this year at The Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation Retreat Center in Carey, Ohio. The retreat will be held on Friday, March 2 through March 4, 2018. Retreat master is Father Marek Visnovsky. Watch the bulletin for further information.

 

BYZANTINE SOCIAL CLUB:

The social club will conduct a brief meeting after pre-sanctified liturgy on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. Dues of $7.50/person will be collected and a communion brunch for member will be Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Eat N Park restaurant on Market Street.

 

 

CCD:

CCD, Catechetical Classes, will continue to be held on Tuesdays @ 6:30 pm at The Grove on Shady Run. We hope to see more participants this semester and look forward to much enrichment.

The Sixth Annual Women’s Retreat “Good Thoughts & Internal Peace” will be held this year at The Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation Retreat Center in Carey, Ohio. The retreat will be held on Friday, March 2 through March 4, 2018. Retreat master is Father Marek Visnovsky. Watch the bulletin for further information.  

CCD:

CCD, Catechetical Classes, will resume on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, @ 6:30 pm at The Grove on Shady Run. We hope to see more participants this semester and look forward to much enrichment.

HRAMOTY:

Next Saturday, February 4^th, is the First All Souls Saturday in which the Hramoty will be recited.  We will take requests up until Wednesday, January 31^st.  If you did not submit your envelope, please call Father Michael or Paula with your request.

Saints Peter & Paul Church, 421 Covington St. in Youngstown is committed to provide the Mahoning Valley community with engaging events that celebrate our cultural heritage. They are excited to announce their upcoming concert which features Violinist Wanda Sobieska from Warsaw, Poland. The concert will also feature musicians from The Dana School of Music. It will be held on January 26, 2018, 7:00 pm at the church, with a social to follow in the adjoining community hall.
