GCU Lodge 442 Matching Funds Project: The winner of the First Matching Funds drawing last week was Sophie Cimino. Sophie donated her winnings of $50 back to the GCU Lodge. Thank you and God Bless Sophie for her kindness and generosity.

Mark Your Calendars: REMINDER Mother’s Day Buffet is today Sunday May 14 from 11:00am until 3:00pm at Byzantine Center at the Grove. There will be a fabulous buffet featuring ethnic and traditional favourites’. Ticket prices are; Adults- $25 per person, Children- 6-10 years-$10, and Children- 5 and under- FREE (Tax and Gratuity included). There will be a gift for every mother and door prizes!

Fatima Centennial Conference: The Fatima Conference will be held at Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in North Jackson. The conference will be on May 12-14.

Slavic Fest: St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, 2230 Highland Road, Hermitage, is having a “SLAVIC FEST” on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 11:00am-7:00pm at the Social Center. Ethnic Slavic Foods and Desserts will be available for eat-in or take-out. Live bands include the Cleveland Style Polka, The Zaps and the Chardon Polka Band. Vendors, ethnic and religious items, Chinese Auction and 50/50 Raffle. Free Admission!

Attention: On Monday June 5, 2017, St. Christine Infant Jesus of Prague Guild will celebrate a mass for area Guild Members. Rosary will be at 11:30 and mass at noon. A light lunch will follow. Reservations are due by May 18 by calling Patti Griffin at (330) 793-4799.

Helping Hands: On Saturday May 20th at 9:00am to 12:00 noon, help prepare the Church grounds, sponsored by the GCU. A light lunch will be served as well. Sign-up sheet is in the vestibule. Bring your garden gloves and enjoy a morning with friends beautifying the Church grounds.

Summer Vacation School: St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Campbell is holding a summer vacation Bible School. It will be held Monday July 17- Friday July 21 from 9am-12 noon each day. Further information will be forthcoming.

Sunday May 21st: On Sunday May 21st we will have a First Holy Communion liturgy followed by a reception for the First Communicants, family, and friends, and parishioners.
Maintenance Update: Starting in June, the flat roofs on the Church will be removed and replaced by Holtz and Sons Roofing for a cost of $32,500. Your generosity in giving to the maintenance envelope will help defray the cost.

Sanctuary Candles: The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intentions. The cost is $10. There are two Sanctuary candles so more than one intention may be given. This week’s Sanctuary Candles are for; the left- + Mary Mehley from Maureen Kredel and Family. The right for the memory of Helen and Joe Pavlov Jr. from Marybeth Hayer, Janice and David Hartzell.
