53rd ANNUAL PILGRIMAGE:

August 13th-15th at Our Lady of Lebanon Shine with Bishop Milan Lach SJ of Parma will be the celebrant on August 14th for the Byzantine Divine Liturgy.

84TH ANNUAL PILGRIMAGE:

The Sisters of St. Basil the Great warmly invite all to their 84th Annual Pilgrimage in Honor of our Lady of Perpetual Help September 1 & 2, 2018, at Mount Saint Macrina in Uniontown, PA. Pamphlets will be on the vestibule table, please help yourself.

BYZANTINE ASSEMBLY 2018:

September 16 -18th at St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Munhall, PA, will be an assembly attended by priests, deacons and the faithful of the Archeparchy. Each parish is expected to send two

Representatives, ideally a man and a woman, and in turn, the participants will be asked to assist in developing and implementing a strategic plan for rejuvenating our parishes.

FATHER MICHAEL VACATION:

Father Michael and his family will be on vacation and will return August 10th.  If there is an emergency, please contact him on his cell phone and he will advise and direct accordingly.

CHURCH PICNIC:

The annual church picnic’s rescheduled date is Wednesday, August 22 at 6:00 pm at the church pavilion. Please bring a side dish or desert for sharing. Hope to see everyone there!

MARRIAGE BANDS:

First Bann of Marriage for Dr. Melissa Straub and Dr. Kevin Hogan, who will be married on Saturday, September 8, 2018.

CONCERT:

September 9, 2018 the Ukrainian Bandurist Choir of North America will be in concert at the DeYor Performing Arts Center at 2:00 pm. For info call 330-824-2244. All are welcome!

ANNUAL PARISH PICNIC:

Since the parish picnic was postponed, the future date will be one day in August. Date announcement will be soon.

 

KENNYWOOD:

This Thursday, July 26th, is Kennywood Day. For those that signed up to ride the bus, it will leave at 9:00 am sharply, and everyone must arrive at the church by 8:30 am. If you purchased tickets through the GCU, they will be distributed that morning before leaving. Upon return home, the bus will leave Kennywood at 6:00 pm!

We look forward to a fun-filled day full of excitement, rides and food!

BYZANTINE SOCIAL CLUB:

Next meeting will be Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 6pm at the parish Pavilion on the south lawn

and Group A is in charge. Please bring your own steak or entrée and sides, desserts and beverage will be provided.

 

ANNUAL PARISH PICNIC:

Annual picnic will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 6:00 pm at our picnic pavilion. Please find the sign-up sheet, which is located in the vestibule.

2018 Byzantine Family Day at Kennywood Park will be Thursday July 26, 2018. There are discounted park tickets, program and activities and free bus. The bus will leave Infant Jesus of Prague Church Parking Lot at 9:00 am sharp and will leave Kennywood at 6:00 pm. Ticket options are: $24 Ride All Day ticket; $14 Senior (55+) Ride All Day; $10 Super Senior (70+)

FAITH AND FUN DAY:

All altar servers, elementary thru high school, are invited on July 31, 2018 for a faith and fun day in Pittsburgh. Contact Fr. Michael by July 1st if interested.

 

CELEBRATION OF MARRIAGE:

All parishioners who are celebrating wedding anniversaries in multiple of 5’s (5,10,15,20….)during 2018 are invited to celebrate on Sept. 9, 2-18 at 3:00 pm in St. Elias Church, where a  liturgy, luncheon and certificate will be provided and given. 53rd ANNUAL PILGRIMAGE:

August 13th-15th at Our Lady of Lebanon Shine with Bishop Milan Lach SJ of Parma will be the celebrant on August 14th for the Byzantine Divine Liturgy.

Simply Slavic will be June 15th and June 16th in Downtown Youngstown. Friday will be Party on the Plaza with live music from 7-10pm. Saturday is from Noon til Midnight. Everyone come and enjoy the rich traditions of Eastern Europe.

CONGRATULATIONS:

Wishing the two BHS graduates, Bobby and Britney Jonda, much success as they begin their college education at YSU. Bobby will be studying Business Administration and Britney will be studying Early Childhood Education.
