We are asking each family to sell 5 books ($25.00) of tickets. We are doing this fundraiser to raise money for numerous projects needing to be done at the church. We do not know at this time if we will be making pirohy & Kolachi this winter, therefore; we are substituting this fundraiser. If you would like more tickets to sell/buy, because the seller of the winning tickets receives $25.00, please contact Fr. Michael, Paula Slemons or Michelle Straub. PILGRIMAGE: Reminder this weekend is the Annual Pilgrimage at Mt Macrina in Uniontown, Pa.

 

100TH ANNIVERSARY OF FATIMA: Everyone is invited to attend The Greater Youngstown Area Public Square Rosary Rally on Saturday, October 14, 2017 to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Apparitions of OUR LADY OF FATIMA.  A Procession will begin at 11:15 am from St. Columbia Cathedral making its way to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cathedral where a liturgy will be celebrated at12:15pm.  Please call Connie @ (330) 507-3880 for more information.

Carpatho-Rusyn Vatra: The 5th Annual Vatra Picnic will be held on August 26th here at Infant Jesus. The Kitchen opens at 12:00 noon, until 8:00pm. This picnic features cultural event, Eastern Europe music, and great ethnic foods. All are invited, Rain or Shine, FREE ADMISSION.

52nd Annual Assumption Pilgrimage: The 52nd Annual Assumption Pilgrimage will be held August 13-15, 2017 at the Basilica and National Shrines of Our Lady of Lebanon in North Jackson, Ohio. The Feast of the Assumption will be on Tuesday, August 15th.

52nd Annual Assumption Pilgrimage: The 52nd Annual Assumption Pilgrimage will be held August 13-15, 2017 at the Basilica and National Shrines of Our Lady of Lebanon in North Jackson, Ohio. The Feast of the Assumption will be on Tuesday, August 15th.

Pilgrimage: The Sisters of St. Basil the Great are having their 83rd annual pilgrimage in honor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help on September 2-3, 2017 at Mount Saint Macrina in Uniontown, PA. Come & participate on the beautiful grounds this wonderful weekend.

Carpatho-Rusyn Vatra: The Rusyn-Slovak picnic will be held on Saturday August 26th from 12-8. All are welcome!

ATTENTION ALL PARISHIONERS: This weekend we begin our new fundraiser campaign. We are selling raffle tickets with the grand prize being $1,000.00, 2nd & 3rd place are $500.00 each. We are asking each family to sell 5 books ($25.00) of tickets. Tickets can be picked up in the vestibule. We are doing this fundraiser to raise money for numerous projects needing to be done at the church. We do not know at this time if we will be making pirohy & Kolachi this winter, therefore; we are substituting this fundraiser. If you would like more tickets to sell/buy, because the seller of the winning tickets receives $25.00, please contact Fr. Michael, Paula Slemons or Michelle Straub. The drawing will be held in October. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support.

Faith & Fun Day: Altar servers! Mark your calendar for August 24th, and get ready for another great day of “Faith & Fun.” Open to all active altar servers (elementary through college), this exciting day is sponsored by the office of Vocations & is a way to say “thank you” to active altar servers for volunteering time & service to the church. From the Divine Liturgy, to a hearty lunch, to a visit to the Carnegie Science Center, & ending with a Pittsburgh Pirates game, you will truly have a memorable experience. ATTENTION ALL PARISHIONERS: Next weekend (August 5th and 6th), we will be kicking off a new fundraiser. We will be asking all parishioners to participate. Look in next week’s bulletin for all the information. We are doing this fundraiser due to the many projects that still need to be done, such as; repaving/repairing the parking lot and entrance to the Church, upgrading the septic system, repairing the steeple and rim on the roof of the Church, just to name a few.

Kennywood: Attention all who are riding the bus to Kennywood- Please be at Infant Jesus of Prague at 8:30am on Thursday July 27th. There will be a tailgate before and the bus will leave at 9:00am sharp. Tickets will be given out at that time, to whoever purchased them from our church. The bus will leave Kennywood to return home at 6:00pm. Let’s pray for no rain and to have a great day!

 

Marriage Celebration: A celebration of Marriage honouring those who are celebrating significant anniversaries (10,25,40,45,50, and every 5 years thereafter) in this year of 2017. The celebration will be held on Sunday, September 10th at 3:00pm at St. Elias Church in Munhall, PA. Divine Liturgy followed by a banquet dinner, a certificate, and a picture with Archbishop William will occur. Please call the rectory by this Sunday July 23, 2017 so we can register you for this wonderful event.

Update on Summer Vacation School: St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Campbell is holding a summer vacation Bible School. It will be held Monday July 17- Friday July 21 from 9am-12 noon each day. The theme of VBS will be “Maker Fun Factory: Created by God, Built for a Purpose.” It will be centralized around our Byzantine Catholic Faith and traditions as well.
