Bernie Litwin-Inn at Poland Way, Robert Democko-Continuing Healthcare at the Ridge, Mary Rotunno at Assumption, Dolores Schurko & Louise Macabobby at Hampton Woods, and the rest of our parishioners who are in nursing homes.  May God grant to all the sick of our parish many blessed, happy and healthier years.

HELP WANTED-BYZANTINE CENTER AT THE GROVE:

The banquet center has been very busy and is need of extra help. There are openings for part-time/on-call employees. Duties may include event set-up/tear down, serving, clearing tables, light cleaning, sanitizing and kitchen help (salad prep& plating cookies). Must be available evenings & weekends. Salary is $8.80-$10/hour based on experience. Call JoAnn @ 330-782-6388 for information & to apply. This is a great part-time job, if you need extra $$$$$!

GCU:

GCU Lodge 442 Community Project for 2021 will the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley. All parishioners are welcome to participate. All non-perishable food items are welcomed. Most needed items: cereal, peanut butter, canned vegetables, canned fruit, dry pasta, canned soup, tuna fish and macaroni & cheese. GCU Lodge 442 is matching all donations and the collection runs through the end of November.

MEETING:

On Sunday, November 7, 2021, the Biannual Altar & Rosary Society of Infant Jesus of Prague followed by the 4th Quarter GCU Lodge of Infant Jesus of Prague & St. Nicholas parishes will be held after 9:00 am Sunday liturgy. All members and interested new members are invited to attend. Annual election of officers is on the agenda.

ASSEMBLY OF THE BYZANTINE CATHOLIC CHURCH:

The assembly- “One Body in Christ: Re-emerging from the Pandemic” will be held November 5 & 6, 2021 @ St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Munhall, PA. Register @ archpitt.org.

TRUNK OR TREAT:

A “Trunk or Treat” will be held for all ECF students & children of the parish following liturgies on Saturday October 30th & Sunday October 31st. “Goodies” will sponsored and distributed by members of the Altar & Rosary Society and GCU Lodge 442. Social distancing will be observed.

ECF CLASSES:

Just a reminder that ECF classes are held on Tuesday, for all school aged children K-12th grade. Classes are on-line with short meetings following Sunday divine liturgies. Please contact Father Michael for more information.  This is a great opportunity for children to learn their Byzantine faith from our wonderful teachers Francine Stanko Schuler and Mary Sinowski, and to meet children of our parish.

SANCTUARY CANDLES:

The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intentions.

For the week of Oct. 10-16, 2021. The right sanctuary candle is for the health & well-being of Tillie Chachko from her family. There is no request for the left sanctuary candle.
