Announcements and information

PLEASE PRAY FOR THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF OUR PARISHIONERS:

Jerry Novak, Ken & Bernie Litwin, Richard Kuty, Pearl Tablack, and Patricia Flaherty, all at home, William Ripple at Heritage Manor-Youngstown, Mary Rotunno at Assumption, Louise Macabobby at Hampton Woods, Helen Brill at Maplecrest and the rest of our parishioners who are in nursing homes.  May God grant to all the sick of our parish many blessed, happy and healthier years.

ATTENTION:

CELEBRATION OF MARRIAGE:

A celebration of Marriage will be held on September 13, 2020 @ St. Elias Church.

Though it is uncertain if the actual celebration can be held, the Archdiocese is still asking for names of wedding anniversary celebrations of 10, 25, 30, 40, 45, 50 or additional years that are multiples of five during this year 2020. Certificates will be sent to whether they are able to attend. Please notify Fr Michael or Paula Slemons by July 25, 2020 if interested.

VOLUNTEER:

We are currently looking for any parishioners who are interested in helping with the lawn services of the church. Please contact Joe Sinowski or Father Michael if available.

50^th ANNIVERSARY BOOK:

We are continuing to look for businesses, organizations, and parish families to provide sponsorships in our Commemorative Anniversary Book. There will also be a section in memory of our beloved deceased parishioners. Order forms were sent to all parishioners’ homes. We have extended the deadline to the fall.  If you have more than one sponsor, or have any questions please contact the rectory or call Mary Sinowski at (330)540-4519 .

PICTURES UPDATE: 

Thank you to all parishioners who have had their pictures taken for our 50^th Anniversary Commemorative Book.  We know some were unable to meet these dates; therefore, we will be planning another sitting as soon as possible.  We truly hope to have all parish families represented in our book. Any questions please see Father Michael or call Paula Slemons.

ENVELOPES:

Although our church name has now changed and St. Peter & Paul has been added, please continue to make all checks payable to Infant Jesus of Prague.

BLESSING OF CARS:

There will be blessing of cars following 6:00 pm Liturgy on Monday, July 20^th and on Saturday July 25^th and Sunday July 26^th in honor of the Elijah the Prophet.

THANK YOU:

Following the 50^th Anniversary Liturgy, there will be a blessing of the cross. This is the original cross from St. Peter & Paul Church in Struthers, which was donated by the Vellky Family. This past month, it has been restored in memory of Janice Salcedo by Mrs. Rose Gaffney (AnnaMarie Jonda’s mother). We would like to thank Mrs. Gaffney for her hard work in restoring this beautiful cross. May God Bless her for all of her time and talent.

50^TH ANNIVERSARY:

Thank you to all who participated in making our 50^th Anniversary a success. This event could not have been accomplished without all your hard work and dedication.

SANCTUARY CANDLES:

The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intentions. There are no intentions for this week’s candles.
