PLEASE PRAY FOR THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF OUR PARISHIONERS:
Jerry Novak, Ken & Bernie Litwin, Richard Kuty, Pearl Tablack, and Patricia Flaherty, all at home, William Ripple at Heritage Manor-Youngstown, Mary Rotunno at Assumption, Louise Macabobby at Hampton Woods, Helen Brill at Maplecrest and the rest of our parishioners who are in nursing homes. May God grant to all the sick of our parish many blessed, happy and healthier years.

CELEBRATION OF MARRIAGE:
A celebration of Marriage will be held on September 13, 2020 @ St. Elias Church.
Though it is uncertain if the actual celebration can be held, the Archdiocese is still asking for names of wedding anniversary celebrations of 10, 25, 30, 40, 45, 50 or additional years that are multiples of five during this year 2020. Certificates will be sent to whether they are able to attend. Please notify Fr Michael or Paula Slemons by July 25, 2020 if interested.
VOLUNTEER:
We are currently looking for any parishioners who are interested in helping with the lawn services of the church. Please contact Joe Sinowski or Father Michael if available.
50TH ANNIVERSARY UPDATE:
OUR 50TH ANNIVERSARY IS SCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY JULY 19, 2020 . Archbishop William Skurla will officiate the liturgy @ 3:00 pm. Following, a dinner will be at Byzantine at the Grove at 5:00 pm. The cost is $25.00 /person and includes a sit down dinner of chicken, fish, pork, pasta, potato, salad, cake and beverage. Beverages offered are coffee, tea, water wine and beer. Tickets will be available to purchase following liturgies or see Father Michael. Families who are sponsor levels will receive dinner tickets, please see Father Michael or Paula Slemons. For those concerned with (Covid 19), there will be social distancing. WE HOPE ALL CAN ATTEND to make our 50th anniversary a wonderful event.
50th ANNIVERSARY BOOK:
We are continuing to look for businesses, organizations, and parish families to provide sponsorships in our Commemorative Anniversary Book. There will also be a section in memory of our beloved deceased parishioners. Order forms were sent to all parishioners’ homes. We have extended the deadline to the fall. If you have more than one sponsor, or have any questions please contact the rectory or call Mary Sinowski at (330)540-4519 .
PICTURES UPDATE:
Thank you to all parishioners who have had their pictures taken for our 50th Anniversary Commemorative Book. We know some were unable to meet these dates; therefore, we will be planning another sitting as soon as possible. We truly hope to have all parish families represented in our book. Any questions please see Father Michael or call Paula Slemons.
LITURGIES & SOCIAL DISTANCING
The following will be enforced
- Leave an empty pew between people and 6 feet between non-family related persons. Families that live together may sit & pray together.
- All members are encouraged to wear masks and use hand sanitizers upon entering and exiting the church.
SANCTUARY CANDLES:
The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intentions. The left Sanctuary candle is in memory of + Violet & William Novak from Bill Novak and Dan Magulick and the right Sanctuary candle is for the health & well-being of Jerry Novak from Greg & Paula Slemons.
