BYZANTINE SOCIAL CLUB: The 1^st meeting for the Byzantine Social Club will be held on Wednesday, February 19th at 6:00pm at the church.  Group A is in charge. A light meal will be served.  Dues for the year are $7.50 per person, payable to the Byzantine Social Club or Stephanie Sheely.  New members are welcome.  Please see Bob Sheely or call him at 330-536-6583.

 

GCU JUNIOR BOWLING TOURNAMENT:

All boys and girls ages 5-18 who attend a Byzantine church are invited to attend on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Camelot Lanes. There will be no-cost bowling, food, prizes and fun! Applications and a sign-up sheet are in the church vestibule.  The deadline for entries is Saturday, March 21^st.    

50^TH ANNIVERSARY UPDATE: We are looking for businesses & organizations to provide sponsorships in our Commemorative Anniversary Book.  Please help by providing names of businesses you are connected with who will agree to sponsor ads at varying dollar levels which will be announced later. Please call or text Mary Sinowski at (330)540-4519 by 2/19/20 so we can get an initial estimate.

We are also asking parishioners for any pictures from 1970 to present of our church to put in the commemorative book.  Any questions, call Paula Slemons. 

 

REMINDER-PICTURE TAKING: We will be compiling a commemorative Infant Jesus of Prague 50^th Anniversary Book.  We hope to have all families represented in this special book. Pictures will be taken in the church this Saturday and Sunday, February 8^th & 9^th following the Divine Liturgies.  There is NO COST to take the picture, and it is your choice to purchase your family portrait.   Any questions please see Father Michael or call Paula Slemons.   

 

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASSES:  Classes have resumed and are held every Tuesday at 6:30pm at the Byzantine Center at the Grove.  All school aged children and adults are encouraged to attend.

 

CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS: We still have Infant Jesus of Prague 50^th Anniversary Ornaments available. If interested, please see Jerry Novak on Saturday or Greg Slemons/Bob Sheely on Sunday.

 

PIROGHI:  We will be making and selling piroghi for the upcoming Lenten season.  We will be making our homemade piroghi on February 15^th at the Byzantine Center at the Grove.  All are encouraged to come and help. Donations of money or ingredients (potatoes, milk, flour, or butter) would be greatly appreciated.  Order forms will be available in the vestibule and can be returned in the collection basket, or call the rectory. Pickup will be Feb. 16^th from 12:00-1:00pm at the Byzantine Center at the Grove. There is a sign-up sheet in the vestibule for all who would like to come and help.

  

CLERGY DAY: Father Michael has a Clergy Day on Monday , Feb. 10^th.  In case of an emergency, call Father Michael on his cell phone (412)722-4670.

 

HALUSKI SALE:  St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, 463 Robinson Rd., Campbell is having a Valentine’s Day Homemade Halsuki Sale on Friday, February 14^th, 2020. The cost is $8.00 per quart, eat in or take out.  The time of the sale is 11:00 am-2:00pm.  Please call (330)770-9213 for pre-orders or (330)755-5688 the day of the sale.  What better way to say “I love you” than a quart of delicious homemade haluski!

 

FINANCIAL REPORT:  There will be a financial report after each Liturgy next week, February 15^th and 16^th.

 

SANCTUARY CANDLES:The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intentions.   There are no intentions this week.
