PARISHIONER NEWS: Our parishioner +Coralie Terleck passed away this past Thursday.  Calling hours will be Mon., Oct.28th at Kirila Funeral Home and the funeral will be on Tues., Oct. 29th at our church.  Our deepest sympathy to the Terleck family.  Blessed repose to His servant +Coralie.

 

ALTAR ROSARY SOCIETY: The bi-annual Altar & Rosary Society Meeting will be held on November 3rd

following the 9:00am Liturgy.  

 

MARRIAGE BANN: 3rd Bann of Marriage for Francine Stanko & Adam Schuler who will be married in our church on Friday, November 8, 2019.

 

YOUTH PROGRAM DIRECTOR:

We are looking for a parishioner who would like to run/organize our new youth program.  This individual will coordinate our youth activities for school aged children at our parish.  Anyone interested or has further questions please contact Fr. Michael.

 

REMINDER-CCD (ECF) CLASSES:  Eastern Christian Formation Classes are being held at Byzantine at the Grove at 6:30 pm every Tuesday.  All school aged children and adults are encouraged to attend.

 

THANK YOU: A special thank you to all the men who worked hard to cut down the trees in front of the church this past week.

Also, thank you to Michelle and Ed Straub who donated six 8 foot tables for the church.

We truly appreciate the time and generosity of our parishioners.

 

50TH ANNIVERSARY UPDATE:The celebration will be held on June 28th, 2020.  There are flyers from the meeting in the vestibule for updates.

 

BYZANTINE SPIRITUAL RETREAT: The 2019 Byzantine Spiritual Retreat will be on Sat., Nov. 9th from 9:30am- 1:45pm at St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Munhall, PA.  The fee is $35 and includes lunch.  Please sign up by November 2, 2019.  

 

2019 ST. NICHOLAS CELEBRATION:  The Annual St. Nicholas Celebration to benefit the Byzantine Catholic Seminary of Sts. Cyril & Methodius will take place on Sun, Dec. 8th, 2019 at St. John Cathedral & Center in Munhall, PA.  Please show your support by purchasing a raffle ticket! For tickets please call the Rectory.

 

CHRISTMAS TREES: After taking inventory, it has been decided to purchase new artificial Christmas trees for the church. There are envelopes in the vestibule for anyone who would like to make a donation towards this purchase.

 

SANCTUARY CANDLES:

The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intentions. The left Sanctuary candle this week is in Memory of +Andrew Yurko and the right candle is in Memory of +Margaret Yurko. Both are from Andrew (Jack) Yurko.
