CCD (ECF) CLASSES: Beginning Tuesday, October 15th, Eastern Christian Formation Classes will resume. Classes will be held at Byzantine at the Grove at 6:30 pm every Tuesday. All school aged children and adults are encouraged to attend.
ALTAR ROSARY SOCIETY: The bi-annual Altar & Rosary Society Meeting will be held on November 3rd
following the 9:00am Liturgy.
MARRIAGE BANN: 2nd Bann of Marriage for Francine Stanko & Adam Schuler who will be married in our church on Friday, November 8, 2019.
YOUTH PROGRAM DIRECTOR:
We are looking for a parishioner who would like to run/organize our new youth program. This individual will coordinate our youth activities for school aged children at our parish. Anyone interested or has further questions please contact Fr. Michael.
COFFEE & DONUT SOCIAL: There will be a coffee and donut social on Nov. 3rd following the 9:00am Liturgy. All are invited!
MEN’S POTLUCK DINNER:
Asking all men from the Byzantine Social Club to bring their favorite dish to share at the Men’s Potluck Dinner on Wednesday, October 23rd at 6:00 pm at the church. New members are always welcome. Group B is in charge.
BYZANTINE SPIRITUAL RETREAT: The 2019 Byzantine Spiritual Retreat will be on Saturday, November 9th from 9:30am to 1:45pm at St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Munhall, PA. the fee is $35 and includes lunch. The deadline to sign up is November 2, 2019.
2019 ST. NICHOLAS CELEBRATION: The Annual St. Nicholas Celebration to benefit the Byzantine Catholic Seminary of Sts. Cyril & Methodius will take place on Sun, Dec. 8th, 2019 at St. John Cathedral & Center in Munhall, PA. There will be an additional fundraiser raffle in which the winner will receive 12 $50 gift cards to popular national restaurants in addition to $1500 in cash. The winning number will be the PA Pick 3 number drawn on Dec. 15th, 2019. Please show your support by purchasing a raffle ticket! For tickets please call the Rectory.
SANCTUARY CANDLES:
The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intentions. The left Sanctuary candle this week is in Memory of +Gertrude & +Daniel Magulick from Daniel Magulick and Bill Novak. There is no intention for the right candle.
