Announcements and information

PLEASE PRAY FOR THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF OUR PARISHIONERS:

Ken & Bernie Litwin, Richard Kuty, Margaret Arvin, Pearl Tablack and Patricia Flaherty, Mickey Vasilcheck all at home, Mary Rotunno at Assumption, Sophie Cimino at Omni West Assisted Living, Thomas Urdea and Milan Krivan at Shepard of the Valley on Western Reserve Rd, Louise Macabobby at Hampton Woods, and the rest of our parishioners who are in nursing homes.  May God grant to all the sick of our parish many blessed, happy and healthier years.

CONGRATULATIONS:

Congratulations to Marley Ann Rankin, daughter of Andrew & Heather Rankin who will be baptized this Sunday.  May God bless Marley and her family with many years of health and happiness.

LADY OF FATIMA STATUE:

St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic church in Campbell, will host the visitation of the famous National Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima on October 10. St Michael’s is located at 463 Robinson Road, Campbell, OH. Everyone is invited to see and pray before the statue. Additional details are forthcoming.

 

PARISH DINNER:

The annual parish dinner will be on Sunday, October 13th @ 12:15 pm. It will be held at the Holiday Inn in Boardman. Price is $21.00 all-inclusive for adults and children (age 4-10) are $12.  There is a sign-up sheet in vestibule and please pay in advanced by Sunday, October 6th. Checks can be made payable to the Altar and Rosary Society. EVERYONE IS INVITED!!!

 

CCD (ECF) CLASSES:

Beginning Tuesday, October 15th, Eastern Christian Formation Classes will resume.  Classes will be held at Byzantine at the Grove at 6:00 pm every Tuesday.  All school aged children and adults are encouraged to attend.

 

YOUTH PROGRAM DIRECTOR:

We are looking for a parishioner who would like to run/organize our new youth program.  This individual will coordinate our youth activities for school aged children at our parish.  Anyone interested or has further questions please contact Fr. Michael.  

50TH ANNIVERSARY MEETING:

On Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 9:00am, there will be a meeting to discuss details/plans for Infant Jesus of Prague’s 50th Anniversary celebration.  Coffee and donuts will be served.  We hope many parishioners attend to help make this a wonderful, memorable event.

 

SOCIETY OF ST JOHN CHRYSOSTOM:

On October 3rd, 2019 at 6:00 pm “Lives of the Priest’s Wives” will be presented at the Basilica & National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon.   Come & join as several priest’s wives from different Orthodox & Eastern Catholic churches will share their stories of their lives. 6:00pm:  Maronite Daily Liturgy 6:30-8:00pm: refreshments & discussion.

 

STUFFED CABBAGE DINNER: St. Nicholas Byzantine Social Center at the Grove on Shady Run Road on Sunday, October 6, 12:00 (noon)-3:00pm.

SANCTUARY CANDLES:

The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intentions. Right sanctuary candle intention is in Memory of +Katherine & Joseph Pavlov Sr. from Janice & David Hartzell & Mary Beth Hayer.  There is no intention for the left candle.    

 

PIEROGI SALE:

Frozen Pierogi are available to purchase at the Rectory.
