Janice Salcedo, Ken & Bernie Litwin, Richard Kuty, Margaret Arvin, Pearl Tablack and Patricia Flaherty all  at home, Sophie Cimino at Omni West Assisted Living, Thomas Urdea at Shepard of the Valley on Western Reserve Rd, Louise Macabobby at Hampton Woods, and the rest of our parishioners who are in nursing homes.  May God grant to all the sick of our parish many blessed, happy and healthier years.

ALTAR SERVERS “FAITH & FUN DAY”:

This year the Altar Servers fun day will be held on July 2nd and is open to all active altar servers (elementary through high school). The day will be a memorable experience from the Divine Liturgy, to a hearty lunch, to a visit to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and ending with a Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball game. See Fr. Michael to sign-up.

 

ALTAR ROSARY SOCIETY:

Coffee and donut social will be held following Divine Liturgy on Sunday, June 30th. Everyone is invited to stop by and socialize. An Altar Rosary Society meeting will follow. Annual dues are $5.00 and we would love new members. Envelopes are in the church vestibule. All members and prospective members are invited to the meeting.

BYZANTINE SOCIAL CLUB:

The Steak Fry meeting of the Byzantine Social Club will be held on Wednesday, June 26th at 6:00pm in the pavilion. Members are to bring their own steaks, hamburgers, hot dogs or whatever they want to grill. They should also bring their own silverware and place setting. Group B is in charge and will provide side dishes, drinks and desserts.

 

SISTERS:

Sister Leocadia and Sister Bernarda wish to extend their deepest gratitude and appreciation to all parishioners for their generosity and well wishes. They are very thankful to all who came last week to wish them farewell as they leave for Mount Macrina. They will continue to pray for us for all of God’s blessings.

 

50th ANIVERSARY-2020 :

The 50th Anniversary celebration of Infant Jesus of Prague in 2020 was discussed this past week at the Byzantine Social Club meeting. It has been decided it will be held in June 2020 and that a banquet following Liturgy with Bishop William will be planned. We would love all parishioners to join in and help organize and if anyone has any pictures or information of the history of our church to please see Father Michael or Mickey Vasilchek. Let’s make this a wonderful event!!!!!

 

ROSARY:

Sunday July 7th and every first Sunday of the month all parishioners are invited to come and recite the rosary at 8:30 am before Sunday’s Divine Liturgy with the Altar Rosary Members.

 

 

THANK YOU:

Thank you to all the women and men who spent their day baking the delicious Kolachi. A special thank you Anna Mamone, Mary Novak’s sister, who graciously helped out. We truly appreciate all of your hard work and baking skills.

 

KENNYWOOD:

Mark your calendars, Byzantine Catholic Fun Day at Kennywood will be July 25th. Discounted tickets are available through the GCU. Infant Jesus will be having a bus to go and it is FREE. The bus will leave the church parking lot at 9:00am. Ticket are $25 FunDay ride all day (ages 4-54), $15 Senior FunDay (55+), $11 Super Senior FunDay (70+), $15 Catered Lunch at Pavilion #5 (ages 11+), and $8 Junior Catered Lunch (ages 4-10). Please see the sign-up sheet and information in the church vestibule. Come and join us for a wonderful, fun-filled day.

 

FOOD FEST:

Infant Jesus of Prague will be holding a Food fest on July 27, 2019 on the church grounds. We will also be holding a Chinese Auction. There are sign –up sheets in the vestibule for anyone who would like to donate for the Chinese Auction and/or work the food fest. More information will be forthcoming.

 

SANCTUARY CANDLES:

The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intentions. Both candles are for the health and well-being of Janice Salcedo from family.
