PILGRIMAGE TO THE HOLY LAND:

FIRST COMMUNION:

Congratulations to Andriy Farynets who made his First Solemn Communion this Sunday. May God continue to bless Andriy. Also, thank you to all who came and wished him congratulations.

 

SPRING FLING BINGO

Sunday, May 5 – Spring Fling Bingo Matinee – to be held from 1 p.m. until

4 p.m. at Byzantine Center at the Grove – includes lunch, bingo and basket raffle. More details to follow.

 

CHURCH VOCATIONS:

All are invited to join in Prayer for Church Vocations at Holy Family Church 2729 Center Road, Poland Ohio on May 15, 2019.  Rosary will begin at 9:40 am and the day will end at noon with a luncheon. Cost is $10.00 for the luncheon. Please RSVP by May 8th to Holy Family Church at the above address.

 

2ND HARVEST FOOD BANK:

We will be joining the 2nd harvest food bank’s “harvest for hunger” food drive which runs from now through the end of April. Non-perishable food items can be placed in the donation box in the church vestibule. A “most needed” items list and further information will also be available there. This is sponsored by the Byzantine Social Club and Lodge 442 of the Parish. Your generosity and donation is greatly appreciated.

 

SOCIAL CLUB MEETING :

Meeting of the Byzantine Social Club will be held on Wednesday April 24 at 6 p.m. at the church. New members are welcome.  A light meal will be served. Group B is in charge.

 

EASTER GREETING:

Father Michael, Maryna, Andriy and Emma wish all of you a very Happy Easter and all of God’s blessings.

 

ANNUAL WOMEN’S DAY OF REFLECTION: 

Sixteenth Annual Women’s Day of Reflection will be held at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 9:00 am till 2:30 pm.

Thank you to all who donated items and money, and/or who purchased Paska breads. A special appreciation to all who spent the entire day baking over 200 Paska. We truly appreciate all of your generosity, talent and time. A full report of the fund-raiser will be forthcoming.

 

SANCTUARY CANDLES:

The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intentions. There are no Sanctuary candles for this week.

PLEASE NOTE: the Sanctuary sign-up sheet was lost and a new one has been placed, please look to make sure your request have been transferred over.
