FUNDRAISER NEWSLETTER:

Last weekend a letter was attached to the bulletin concerning our summer fundraiser. Envelopes are still available in the vestibule, and the letter is attached on the bulletin board. We appreciate any and all donations given and a week of prayers will be determined by Father Michael for your generosity.

ANNUAL PARISH PICNIC:

Annual picnic will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 6:00 pm at our picnic pavilion. Please find the sign-up sheet, which is located in the vestibule.

KENNYWOOD:

2018 Byzantine Family Day at Kennywood Park will be Thursday July 26, 2018. There are discounted park tickets, program and activities and free bus. The bus will leave Infant Jesus of Prague Church Parking Lot at 9:00 am sharp and will leave Kennywood at 6:00 pm. Ticket options are: $24 Ride All Day ticket; $14 Senior (55+) Ride All Day; $10 Super Senior (70+)

Ride All Day; and $15 Lunch There is a sign-up sheet in the vestibule and the deadline to sign up is Monday July 9th. Pre-pay in advance cash or checks made to GCU Lodge 442. The church bus is partially sponsored by the Sheely Fund.

 

53rd ANNUAL PILGRIMAGE:

August 13th-15th at Our Lady of Lebanon Shine with Bishop Milan Lach SJ of Parma will be the celebrant on August 14th for the Byzantine Divine Liturgy.

 

BYZANTINE ASSEMBLY 2018: September 16 -18th at St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Munhall, PA, will be an assembly attended by priests, deacons and the faithful of the Archeparchy. Each parish is expected to send two

Representatives, ideally a man and a woman, and in turn, the participants will be asked to assist in developing and implementing a strategic plan for rejuvenating our parishes. Please contact Fr. Michael if interested.

CELEBRATION OF MARRIAGE:

All parishioners who are celebrating wedding anniversaries in multiple of 5’s (5,10,15,20….) during 2018 are invited to celebrate on Sept. 9, 2-18 at 3:00 pm in St. Elias Church, where a liturgy, luncheon and certificate will be provided and given. Please contact Fr. Michael or Paula by July 21st.

SANCTUARY CANDLES:

The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intentions. The left and the right are for the perpetual light shining upon +Nicholas Sabula, Jr. from Monica Skurich.
