Robert Democko, Thomas Urdea, Richard Kuty, Margaret Arvin, Louise Macabobby, Anne Anos,  Mary Lou Kasper and Patricia Flaherty all at home, and the rest of our parishioners who are in nursing homes and at home convalescing.  May God grant to all the sick of our parish many blessed, happy and healthier years.

CONDOLENCES:

This past week our beloved parishioner, Eleanor Timko, has passed on.  Her funeral will be held on, Wednesday, November 8th at 10:00 am.  Blessed repose to Eleanor. Our deepest sympathy is extended to her family and friends.

            And

Our thoughts, sympathy and prayers to Dan Magulick, whose mother recently passed away in Florida.

GCU LODGE 442;

We would like to extend a very warm thank you to everyone who donated to The Matching Funds Rescue Mission project.

BYZANTINE SOCIAL CLUB:

Monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 15th at 6:30 pm at the church.  Group B is in charge.

They will be discussing the plans for the annual Christmas party, which will be held on Sunday, December 3rd at 5pm at the Holiday Inn Boardman.  This social is open to all parishioners.

CHILDRENS CHRISTMAS PARTY:

December 10th, following the Sunday Liturgy, is the Children’s Christmas party, free of charge for children up to the age of 14.  Please sign-up by December 3rd in the church vestibule. This is a time filled with fun, food and a special appearance by St. Nicholas with presents, too.

CHRISTMAS KOLACHI AND CHRISTMAS BAKE SALE:

Reserve your Kolachi now!  Sponsored by the Altar & Rosary Society and GCU Lodge 442 Matching Funds Project, Saturday December 16th and Sunday December 17th following Divine Liturgy will be the annual delicious bake sale.  A sign-up sheet will also be located in the church vestibule. Contributions for other baked desserts are also appreciated.

DRIVEWAY LIGHTS:

We would like to sincerely thank Jerry Novak, who also helped with the installation of the lights, but his name was inadvertently omitted.

 

MAINTENANCE MAN:

St. Nicholas is looking for a maintenance man to care for the church, rectory, cemetery (not mowing the grass) and the Social hall. The job will be paid hourly.  If anyone is interested, please contact Father Michael.

 

LAWN CARE:

As the season for mowing of the grounds is nearing an end, Father Michael and all parishioners would like to thank the dedicated volunteers of our parish: Ron Hoxworth, Tom Lesko, Ken Litwin, Jerry Novak, and Joe Sinowski for the time and service.

 

PARISHIONER HOME SALE:

Since the passing of Eleanor Timko, her home in Struthers is being priced for a very quick sale. Her daughter, Roberta, has requested that we inform all and anyone interested to please contact Father Michael and he will forward the information.

 

SANCTUARY CANDLES:

The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intentions. The cost is $10.  The Right is in Memory of James Hayer from Marybeth Hayer and Janice and David Hartzell, and the Left  is in Memory of MacArthur Maramba from Dr. Stephen Salcedo.
