PARISH DINNER: Reminder, Sunday, October 15th, parish dinner will be at the Holiday Inn Boardman @ 12:15 pm. We are looking forward to enjoy a delicious meal with all who purchased tickets for this event.
SOCIAL:
Coffee and donut social and GCU 4th quarter meeting will be held Sunday, October 29th following the Liturgy. All are invited!
ALL PARISHIONERS:
We are still selling the raffle tickets with the grand prize being $1,000.00, 2nd & 3rd place are $500.00 each. The drawing will be held October 25, 2017, during the Byzantine Social Club monthly meeting. Next weekend all tickets/money must be returned. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support. This fund raiser will be used for church maintenance.
BYZANTINE SOCIAL CLUB:
October 25, 2017 at 6:00 pm:
The social club will be hosting a “men’s potluck dinner” with Group A in charge. Everyone is welcome to attend and we hope all come to witness who wins the $1000.00 and (2) $500.00 prizes. Additionally, we will all enjoy a dinner made by the men of our parish! Reminder, ticket sellers for each winner will receive $25.00.
GCU LODGE 442;
The GCU Lodge is sponsoring a community matching funds project to benefit the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley. We are collecting needed items that are listed in the vestibule. The Home office will donate funds equal to the donated items value. Deadline is October 31, 2017.
PILGRIM VOCATION:
Vocations are the result of Christian community. Placing faith and hope in this command of the Lord, all Byzantine Catholic Churches in America began a Pilgrim vocation Icon Program. Whoever signed up to participate in this prayer service, the icon can be found on the vestibule table with the required prayers, so please take accordingly for each respective week.
SPECIAL THANK YOU:
A special “thank you” to the Kasper Family for their donation of $695.00 in memory of our beloved parishioner, Peter Kasper, Jr., which is to be used for the maintenance fund of this parish. May God Bless the Kasper Family and blessed repose to Peter.
SANCTUARY CANDLES:
The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intentions. The cost is $10. The Left and Right are in memory of + Darlene Kassen, from Tillie Chachko and Family and Elaine Chachko.
