RETREAT:
Father Michael will be out of town from today, Sunday, until Thursday this week for a clerical retreat. For any emergency, please call his cell phone, 412-722-4670.
PARISH DINNER: Please mark your calendars for the annual parish dinner to be held on Sunday, October 15th 12:15pm at the Holiday Inn in Boardman. Buffet Menu includes roast beef, fried chicken, scalloped potatoes, honey glazed carrots, salad, rolls and desert. Cost is $17.00, all inclusive. Make checks payable to Altar Rosary Society by October 8th. Sign-up sheet is in the vestibule.
SENIOR LUNCHEON:
The senior luncheon is returning and will be held, Thursday, October 5th at Byzantine at the Grove at 12 noon. Please call Helen Yurko at 330-782-1524 for reservations. Everyone is welcome to attend a wonderful gathering!
ALL PARISHIONERS:
We are still selling the raffle tickets with the grand prize being $1,000.00, 2nd & 3rd place are $500.00 each. REMINDER; please return your ticket money, it is past due. Write your name on the back of the tickets you sold. The drawing will be held at the end of October. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support. This fund raiser will be used for church maintenance.
GCU LODGE 442;
The GCU Lodge is sponsoring a community matching funds project to benefit the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley. We are collecting needed items that are listed in the vestibule. The Home office will donate funds equal to the donated items value. Deadline is October 31, 2017.
SOCIAL:
Coffee and donut social and GCU 4th quarter meeting will be held Sunday, October 29th following the Liturgy. All are invited!
CCD REMINDER;
All Parishioners are encouraged to attend the weekly education classes, every Tuesday at 6:30 pm, for children and adults of all ages. The classes care held at The Byzantine Center at the Grove.
HURRICANE RELIEF:
We would like to thank all who gave lovingly for this cause. Total amount donated will be provided next week.
PILGRIM VOCATION:
Vocations are the result of Christian community. Placing faith and hope in this command of the Lord, all Byzantine Catholic Churches in America began a Pilgrim vocation Icon Program. Whoever signed up to participate in this prayer service, the icon can be found on the vestibule table with the required prayers, so please take accordingly for each respective week.
SANCTUARY CANDLES:
The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intentions. The cost is $10. Left is for the Memory of Patricia Huff from Tom and Joyce Lesko and the Right is for the Memory of Katherine and Joseph Pavlov Sr. from Marybeth Hayer and Janice and David Hartzell.
