MAINTENANCE UPDATE:

As 2025 is coming to a close, we would like to update all parishioners on the maintenance/upgrades done this year.

-All the flat roofs have been power washed, and a new drainage system was installed to prevent water from puddling on the roofs. This was at a cost $15,000.

-We are in the process off plastering, repairing and painting walls and ceilings.

-A new air-conditioner and two new furnaces will be installed this fall by Gault at a cost of $25,341.79.

We continually thank all parishioners who have supported our maintenance fund. It has helped to defray costs for these upgrades.  May God bless all of you!

ST. NICHOLAS CELEBRATION:

All parishioners are invited to the 68th Annual St. Nicholas celebration on December 7th @ 3:30 pm in the Cathedral benefitting the Byzantine Seminary. Cost is $45/adult, $20 for children 12 and under. Deadline to sign-up is November 17th. Please see Fr. Michael for more details.

CANDLES:

The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intentions.

For the week of October 26-November 1, 2025, the left sanctuary candle is in memory of +Peter & +Mary Kasper and the right sanctuary is in memory of +Catherine +Stephen Kopkash. Both candles are from Paul and Mary Kasper.

22nd SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST

St. Ephrem the Syrian – The Lord compared the priests of the people with him who was clothed in purple. Nothing is more honored than purple clothing. He compared the disciples of the cross with Lazarus. There were none more lowly than Lazarus was. He revealed the names of his beloved ones through Lazarus, his beloved one. He also wished to reveal the name of his enemies through the words, “If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets.” It is not the case that all those living are alive, or that all those buried are dead.
