Parishioners of St. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Warren cordially invite you to join in celebrating their centennial “100^th” Anniversary on June 29, 2025 @ 3:00pm. Tickets are $50.00 and a sign-up sheet is in the vestibule.

Congratulations to Maverick J. Kurkiewicz son of Robert & Stephanie Kurkiewicz who received the sacraments of baptism and chrismation last Sunday.

Also, congratulations to Basil Michael, son of Troy and Jennifer Linebaugh who will be receiving his sacraments of baptism and chrismation this Sunday.

FIRST SOLEMN COMMUNION:

Next Sunday, May 11^th, Evan Bero, Nathan Broderick, Selena Love and Adrian Patoray and on Sunday, May 25^th Bella Dottle all will receive their First Solemn Communion.

CANDLES:

The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intentions.

For the week of May 4-10, 2025, the left sanctuary candle is for the health & well-being of Rachel & Ava Valko from their parents.  There is no request for the right sanctuary candle.

His resurrection recapitulated in our baptism.

Basil of Seleucia: Christ descended into hell to liberate its captives. Although water serves as the instrument, it is grace which gives rebirth. Grace transforms all who are placed in the font as the seed is transformed in the womb. It refashions all who go down into the water as metal is re­cast in a furnace. It reveals to them the mys­teries of immortality; it seals them with the pledge of resurrection.
