ROSARY:

The Altar & Rosary Society will be praying the rosary Sunday, June 2nd at 8:30 am. Everyone is welcomed.

ECF FAREWELL PARTY:

Our ECF children will be having a end of the year party at the church on Sunday, May 19th following 9:00 am Liturgy. 

CONGRATULATIONS:

Congratulations to Levi Bero, son of Andrew & Amanda Bero, who received his First Holy Eucharist this Sunday. May God grant Levi and his family health, happiness and many blessed years!

HELPING HANDS:

Thank you to all who came this past Wednesday and participated in “Our Helping Hands”. The pavilion is ready for our summer events.  We truly appreciate your time and hard-work.

Our Saturday “Helping Hands” was cancelled due to the weather. It has been tentatively rescheduled for next Saturday, May 18th.

SIMPLY SLAVIC:

Simply Slavic Heritage Festival will be held in downtown Youngstown on Friday-June 14th from 5:00pm-11:00 pm and Saturday, June 15th from 12:00 (noon)-11:00 pm. Admission is $5.00. Children under 12 years old and younger are free. The event will include live music, homemade ethnic food, folk dance performances and more. This year also has the pivski, a European outdoor beer garden. Come and celebrate Youngstown’s Slavic community.

BYZANTINE SOCIAL CLUB:

The Byzantine Social club will have their first cookout of the year on Wednesday, May 29th at 6:00pm in the church pavilion. More information to follow.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY:

We wish all our mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, and godmothers a very Happy Mother’s Day. May God bless all with a day filled with love and joy.

NEW APPOINTMENTS

Archbishop William has made the following Appointments effective Saturday, May 18, 2024:

 Very Reverend Richard I. Lambert as his own requestrelieved from active ministry, As Pastor of St. Mary Church, Youngstown, Ohio, as Protopresbyter of the Youngstown Protopresbyterate and as member of the Pension Board in order to enter retirement.

 Father John J. Welch appointed Administrator of St. Mary Church, Youngstown, Ohio.

 Father Kevin E. Marks appointed Protopresbyter of the Youngstown Protopresbyterate.

Wish Fr. Lambert happy retirement and to his new chapter in his life and Marks and Welsh good start to their new appointments. God grant them peace, health and happiness.

SANCTUARY CANDLES:

The Sanctuary candles will be lit for the entire week for your intentions.

For the week of May 12-18, the right sanctuary candle is in memory of +Helen & +Joseph Pavlov Jr. from Mary Beth Hayer and Janice and David Hartzell. Left Candle for all Mothers, Grandmothers, Stepmothers, and God mothers of our parishes.
