SUPER BINGO:

St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 356 S. Belle Vista in Youngstown is holding their 3rd Annual Super Bingo on Saturday May 11th. Doors open at 2:00 pm and Bingo starts @ 5:00 pm. Cost is $45 that buys everything and includes a free picnic lunch. Call 330-951-7343 for more information.

ROSARY:

The Altar & Rosary Society will be praying the rosary NEXT Sunday, May 5th at 8:30 am. Everyone is welcomed.

THANK YOU:

Thank you to the officers of the Byzantine Social Club (Bob & Stephanie Sheely and Gene & Sharon Mulichak) for organizing last week’s parish brunch. The food was delicious and everyone had a wonderful time.

HELPING HANDS:

All parishioners are invited to our “Helping Hands” Days. This year we are having two days to work on the parish grounds weather permitting. On Wednesday, May 8th @ 9:00 am, we will be working on the pavilion. On Saturday, May 11th @ 9:00 am we will be working on the church landscaping.  Lunch will be provided.

SIMPLY SLAVIC:

Simply Slavic Heritage Festival will be held in downtown Youngstown on Friday-June 14th from 5:00pm-11:00 pm and Saturday, June 15th from 12:00 (noon)-11:00 pm. Admission is $5.00. Children under 12 years old and younger are free. The event will include live music, homemade ethnic food, folk dance performances and more. This year also has the pivski, a European outdoor beer garden. Come and celebrate Youngstown’s Slavic community.

CONGRATULATIONS

Emma Boughner, our Saturday cantor, to earn 4 place State of Ohio in Program Oral Interpretation and 1st place in Cardinal Mooney Catholic School. Also, on her induction into the National Honor Society. God Grant her Many and blessed years!
